మణిపూర్లో భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా నోనీ జిల్లాలో కొండచరియలు (Manipur Landslides) విరిగిపడిన ఘటనలో మరణించినవారి సంఖ్య 14కు చేరింది. వీరి మృతదేహాలను శిథిలాల నుంచి బయటకు తీశారు. మరో 23 మంది సురక్షితంగా వెలికితీశారు. ఘటనా ప్రాంతంలో ఇంకా సహాయక చర్యలు (More are being searched) కొనసాగుతున్నాయి.
మణిపూర్లో భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా నోనీ జిల్లాలో కొండచరియలు (Manipur Landslides) విరిగిపడిన ఘటనలో మరణించినవారి సంఖ్య 14కు చేరింది. వీరి మృతదేహాలను శిథిలాల నుంచి బయటకు తీశారు. మరో 23 మంది సురక్షితంగా వెలికితీశారు. ఘటనా ప్రాంతంలో ఇంకా సహాయక చర్యలు (More are being searched) కొనసాగుతున్నాయి. నోనీ జిల్లాలో రైల్వే నిర్మాణ పనులు జరుగుతున్న ప్రాంతం వద్ద ఒక్కసారిగా కొండచరియలు విరిగిపడ్డాయి. దీంతో ఇప్పటివరకు 14 మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. ఎంతమంది శిథిలాల్లో చిక్కుకుపోయారనే విషయమై ఇంకా స్పష్టత లేదని మణిపూర్ డీజీపీ డౌంగెల్ తెలిపారు. అయితే సుమారు 60 మంది వరకు శిథిలాల కింద ఉండవచ్చని అంచనావేస్తున్నామన్నారు. వారిలో ఆర్మీ, రైల్వే అధికారులు, కూలీలు, గ్రామస్థులు ఉన్నారని వెల్లడించారు. మృతుల్లో ఏడుగురు టెరిటోరియల్ ఆర్మీ జవాన్లని చెప్పారు.
