మణిపూర్ అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల్లో భాగంగా సోమవారం ఉదయం 7 గంటలకు 38 స్థానాలకు పోలింగ్ ప్రారంభమైంది. ఈ తొలి దఫాలో 15 మంది మహిళలుసహా 173 మంది అభ్యర్థులు ఎన్నికల బరిలో నిలిచారు. సాయుధ బలగాల ప్రత్యేక అధికారాల చట్టం–1958 తొలగింపు డిమాండ్, రాష్ట్ర అభివృద్ధి, మహిళా సాధికారత, నిరుద్యోగం, అవినీతి అంశాలు ఓటింగ్పై సరళిపై ప్రభావం చూపనున్నాయి
