వాతావరణ మార్పుల కారణంగా సముద్రంలో ఆహారానికి పోటీ పెరిగిందని, తగినంత ఆహారం దొరక్కపోవడంతో చేపల బరువు తగ్గుతున్నదని తాజా అధ్యయనం తేల్చింది.
Newdelhi, Feb 29: వాతావరణ మార్పుల (Climate Change) కారణంగా సముద్రంలో ఆహారానికి (Food) పోటీ పెరిగిందని, తగినంత ఆహారం దొరక్కపోవడంతో చేపల బరువు (Fish Weight) తగ్గుతున్నదని తాజా అధ్యయనం తేల్చింది. పశ్చిమ ఉత్తర పసిఫిక్ సముద్ర జలాల్లో 2010 దశకంలో చేపల బరువు తగ్గుదల కనపడిందని పరిశోధకులు కనుగొన్నారు. వాతావరణ మార్పులతో సముద్ర జలాలు వేడెక్కుతున్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. దీని ఫలితంగా పోషకాహారంతో కూడిన చల్లటి జలాలు సముద్రం ఉపరితలానికి చేరటం లేదని, ఇది చేపలకు ఆహార లభ్యత తగ్గటానికి దారితీసిందని పరిశోధకులు తెలిపారు.
