Birmingham, July 31: ఇంగ్లండ్ వేదికగా జరుగుతున్న కామన్వెల్త్ క్రీడల్లో భారత దేశానికి తొలి బంగారు పతకం దక్కింది. స్టార్ వెయిట్ లిఫ్టర్ మీరాబాయి చాను (Mirabai Chanu) అద్భుతమైన పోరాటపటిమ కనబర్చి బంగారు పతకాన్ని తన ఖాతాలో వేసుకుంది. 27 ఏళ్ల మీరాబాయి మొత్తమ్మీద 201 కేజీలు లిఫ్ట్ చేసి రికార్డు సృష్టించింది. స్నాచ్ విభాగంలో 88 కేజీలు ఎత్తిన ఆమె.. క్లీన్ అండ్ జర్క్ విభాగంలో 113 కేజీలు లిఫ్ట్ చేసింది. ఈ క్రమంలో మహిళల 49 కేజీల విభాగంలో కామన్వెల్త్ గేమ్స్ (Commonwealth Games) రికార్డు సృష్టించింది. ఇక్కడ మరో విశేషమేంటంటే.. 2018 కామన్వెల్త్ క్రీడల్లో కూడా భారత్కు తొలి స్వర్ణం అందించింది మీరాబాయినే.
