Newdelhi, May 13: పంది కిడ్నీ ట్రాన్స్ ప్లాంట్ (Pig Kidney Transplant) చేయించుకొన్న ప్రపంచంలోనే తొలి వ్యక్తి అయిన రిచర్డ్ స్లేమాన్ (62) తాజాగా మృతిచెందారు. రెండు నెలల కిందట స్లేమాన్ కు జన్యుమార్పిడి చేసిన పంది కిడ్నీని (Pig Kidney) అమర్చారు. అది సక్సెస్ అయింది కూడా. దీంతో ఆపరేషన్ అయిన రెండు వారాల అనంతరం అతడిని డిశ్చార్జి చేశారు. అయితే, తాజాగా ఆయన మరణించారు. అయితే, స్లేమాన్ ఆకస్మిక మరణానికి, శస్త్రచికిత్సకు ఎలాంటి సంబంధం లేదని దవాఖాన వర్గాలు వెల్లడించాయి. మధుమేహం లాంటి దీర్ఘకాలిక సమస్యలు మృతుడికి ఉన్నట్టు గుర్తుచేశాయి.
