జపాన్లో బుధవారం రాత్రి భారీ భూకంపం సంభవించింది. రిక్టర్ స్కేల్పై తీవ్రత 7.3గా నమోదైనట్లు ఆ దేశ వాతావరణ సంస్థ ప్రకటించింది. ఉత్తర జపాన్లోని ఫుకుషిమా తీర ప్రాంతంలో భూకంపం కేంద్రీకృతమైందని తెలుస్తోంది. భూకంపం నేపథ్యంలో జపాన్లో సునామీ హెచ్చరికలు జారీ అయ్యాయి
జపాన్లో బుధవారం రాత్రి భారీ భూకంపం సంభవించింది. రిక్టర్ స్కేల్పై తీవ్రత 7.3గా నమోదైనట్లు ఆ దేశ వాతావరణ సంస్థ ప్రకటించింది. ఉత్తర జపాన్లోని ఫుకుషిమా తీర ప్రాంతంలో భూకంపం కేంద్రీకృతమైందని తెలుస్తోంది. భూకంపం నేపథ్యంలో జపాన్లో సునామీ హెచ్చరికలు జారీ అయ్యాయి. ఈశాన్య తీరంలో అలలు మీటర్ ఎత్తు వరకు ఎగసిపడవచ్చని అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు. మరోవైపు భూకంపం ధాటికి సుమారు 20 లక్షల ఇళ్లకు విద్యుత్ సరఫరా నిలిచిపోయినట్లు టోక్యో ఎలక్ట్రిక్ పవర్ కంపెనీ పేర్కొంది.ఈ విపత్తులో ఇద్దరు మరణించగా 126 మంది గాయపడ్డారు. కాగా, 2011లో కూడా ఉత్తర జపాన్లో 9 తీవ్రతతో భూకంపం సంభవించింది. అప్పుడు ఉద్భవించిన సునామీ అణు విపత్తుకు కారణమైంది.
