నెవార్క్ పోలీస్ డిపార్ట్మెంట్, డిపార్ట్మెంట్ ఆఫ్ జస్టిస్, సివిల్ రైట్స్ డివిజన్కు ఫిర్యాదు అందినట్టు కూడా వెల్లడించింది. ఈ ఘటనను ద్వేషపూరిత నేరంగా పరిగణించి దర్యాప్తు చేయాలని పోలీసులకు విజ్ఞప్తి చేసింది. గతంలోనూ కెనడాలో హిందూ వ్యతిరేక ఘటనలు వెలుగు చూశాయి. కెనడాలోని సర్రీ నగరంలో ఇటీవల ఓ దేవాలయం గోడలపై ఆగంతుకులు విద్వేషపూరిత రాతలు రాశారు. ఖలిస్థానీ వేర్పాటు వాది నిజ్జర్ హత్యకు సంబంధించిన నిరసనల ఫొటోలను గుడి తలుపులపై అతికించారు.
