Newdelhi, Mar 28: ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా 78.3 కోట్ల మంది ఆకలి కోరల్లో (Hunger) చిక్కుకొని రోజూ ఆకలితో అలమటిస్తున్నారు. అయితే, ఆహారంలో 19 శాతం (2022లో) వృథా అవుతుంది. ఈ మేరకు ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి తాజా నివేదిక పేర్కొన్నది. 2024 ఏడాది 'ఫుడ్ వేస్ట్ ఇండెక్స్’ (Food Waste Index) నివేదికను ఐరాస విడుదల చేసింది. 2030 నాటికి ఆహార వ్యర్థాలను సగానికి తగ్గించే లక్ష్యంతో ఆయాల దేశాల పురోగతిని ఐరాస విశ్లేషిస్తున్నది.
