ఈశాన్య రుతుపవనాల ప్రభావంతో తమిళనాడు వ్యాప్తంగా వర్షాలు కురుస్తున్నాయి. కోయంబత్తూరు, తిరుపూర్, మధురై, థేనీ, దినిదిగుల్ జిల్లాల్లో కుండపోత వాన పడుతోంది. నీల్గిరి జిల్లాలోని ఐదు తాలుకాలను వర్షం ముంచెత్తింది. ఈ క్రమంలో ఈ జిల్లాల్లోని ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రయివేటు పాఠశాలలకు అధికారులు సెలవులు ప్రకటించారు.
