ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రాలలో ఏఎఫ్ఎస్పీఏ (సాయుధ దళాల ప్రత్యేక అధికారాలు చట్టం) పరిధిని కుదిస్తూ (AFSPA Relaxations) నరేంద్ర మోదీ ప్రభుత్వం సంచలన నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఏఎఫ్ఎస్పీఏ చట్టం పరిధిలోని ప్రాంతాలను కుదిస్తున్నట్లు కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రి అమిత్ షా గురువారం పార్లమెంట్ లో ప్రకటించారు.
ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రాలలో అమల్లో ఉన్న ఏఎఫ్ఎస్పీఏ (సాయుధ దళాల ప్రత్యేక అధికారాలు చట్టం) పరిధిని కుదిస్తూ (AFSPA Relaxations) నరేంద్ర మోదీ ప్రభుత్వం సంచలన నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఏఎఫ్ఎస్పీఏ చట్టం పరిధిలోని ప్రాంతాలను కుదిస్తున్నట్లు కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రి అమిత్ షా గురువారం ప్రకటించారు. కాగా ఈ చట్టాన్నిఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రాలలో తిరుగుబాటు దారుల అణిచివేత కోసం తీసుకొచ్చారు. అయితే భద్రతా దళాలు ఈ చట్టాన్ని దుర్వినియోగం చేస్తున్నారని అనేక ఆరోపణలు ఉన్నాయి. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో చట్టం పరిధిలోని ప్రాంతాలను కుదిస్తూ కేంద్రం నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఏఎఫ్ఎస్ పీఏ కింద నాగాలాండ్, అసోం, మణిపూర్లకు పరిధి తగ్గింపు వర్తించనుంది.
