Sengol in New Parliament Building: కొత్త పార్లమెంట్ భవనంలో బంగారు రాజదండం, స్పీకర్‌ సీటు వద్ద సెంగోల్ ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్న కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం
పార్లమెంట్ నూతన భవనాన్ని కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఈ నెల 28న ఆదివారం లాంఛనంగా ప్రారంభించనున్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆభవనంలో స్పీకర్‌ సీటు వద్ద ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ చారిత్రక రాజందండాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నట్లు కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రి అమిత్‌ షా వెల్లడించారు.
ఈ నెల 28న పార్లమెంట్ నూతన భవనాన్ని కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం లాంఛనంగా ప్రారంభించనుంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆభవనంలో స్పీకర్‌ సీటు వద్ద ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ చారిత్రక రాజందండాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నట్లు కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రి అమిత్‌ షా వెల్లడించారు. దీన్ని నాటి బ్రిటీషర్లు నుంచి బారతీయులకు అధికార మార్పిడి జరిగిందనేందుకు గుర్తుగా ఈ రాజదండాన్ని మన దేశ తొలి ప్రధాని జవహర్‌లాల్‌ నెహ్రూకి అందజేసినట్లు అమిత్‌ షా తెలిపారు. ఈ రాజదండాన్ని 'సెంగోల్' అని పిలుస్తారు. ఇది తమిళ పదం సెమ్మై నుంచి వచ్చింది. దీని అర్థం ధర్మం.
