ఢిల్లీలో కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ అగ్ర‌నేత రాహుల్‌గాంధీ స‌మ‌క్షంలో క‌న్హ‌య్య కుమార్ ఆ పార్టీ కండువా క‌ప్పుకున్నారు. ఆయ‌న‌తోపాటు గుజ‌రాత్ ఇండిపెండెంట్ ఎమ్మెల్యే జిగ్నేష్ మేవాని కూడా కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో చేరారు. అనంత‌రం ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ప్రెస్ కాన్ఫ‌రెన్స్‌లో క‌న్హ‌య్య కుమార్, జిగ్నేష్ మేవాని మీడియాతో మాట్లాడారు. కాంగ్రెస్ కేవ‌లం ఒక పార్టీ మాత్ర‌మే కాద‌ని, ఒక ఆలోచ‌న అని సీపీఐ మాజీ నేత క‌న్హ‌య్య కుమార్ వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ దేశంలో చాలా పురాత‌న పార్టీ అని, అంతేగాక అత్య‌ధిక ప్రజాస్వామ్య విలువ‌లు ఉన్న పార్టీని క‌న్హ‌య్య కీర్తించారు. అస‌లు కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ లేక‌పోతే దేశం మ‌న‌లేద‌ని ఆయ‌న పేర్కొన్నారు. కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఒక ఓడ లాంటిద‌ని, ఈ పార్టీని కాపాడుకుంటే దేశ ప్ర‌జ‌ల ఆకాంక్ష‌ల‌ను, మ‌హాత్మ‌గాంధీ ఏక‌త్వాన్ని, భ‌గ‌త్‌సింగ్ స్థైర్యాన్ని, బీఆర్ అంబేద్క‌ర్ స‌మాన‌త్వ ఆలోచ‌న‌ను కాపాడుకున్న‌ట్లేన‌ని క‌న్హ‌య్య కుమార్ అన్నారు. అందుకే తాను కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో చేరాన‌ని చెప్పారు.
