ఇస్రో (ISRO) చేపట్టిన మరో ప్రయోగం విజయవంతమైంది. శుక్రవారం ఉదయం నెల్లూరు జిల్లా శ్రీహరికోట (Sriharikota) షార్(Shar) నుంచి ఎస్ఎస్ఎల్వీ -డీ 3 రాకెట్ను (SSLV-D3 Rocket ) నింగిలోకి పంపింది. షార్లోని మొదటి లాంచ్ ప్యాడ్ నుంచి ఈ వాహక నౌక నింగిలోకి దూసుకెళ్లింది.

‘ఎర్త్ అబ్జర్వేషన్ శాటిలైట్’ ఈవోఎస్-08ను (EOS-08 mission) తక్కువ ఎత్తులోని భూ కక్ష్యలోకి ప్రవేశపెట్టడం ఈ మిషన్ లక్ష్యం. విపత్తు నిర్వహణలో సమాచారం ఇచ్చేందుకు ఈ ఉపగ్రహం ఉపయోగపడనుంది. పర్యావరణం, ప్రకృతి విపత్తులు, అగ్ని పర్వతాలపై ఇది పర్యవేక్షించనుంది.
