అమెరికాలో మనుషులకు పంది కాలేయాన్ని అమర్చే ప్రయోగాలు వేగంగా జరుగుతున్నాయి. లివర్ అవయవ కొరతను అధిగమించేందుకు శాస్త్రవేత్తలు అమెరికాలో గత కొన్నేండ్లుగా ఈ ప్రయోగాలు చేస్తున్నారు. మనిషి కాలేయంలో ఉండే లక్షణాలను పంది కాలేయంలోకి తీసుకువచ్చేందుకు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు. ఇందుకు గానూ పంది కాలేయంలోని కణాలను పూర్తిగా నిర్వీర్యం చేసి ఆ తర్వాత మనుషులకు ఉపయోగపడని దానం చేసిన కాలేయం నుంచి కణాలను పంది కాలేయంలోకి చేరుస్తారు. తర్వాత మనిషి శరీరం బయటే కృత్రిమంగా ఈ కాలేయం రక్తాన్ని ఎలా శుద్ధి చేస్తుందో పరీక్షించనున్నారు.ఈ ప్రయోగం విజయవంతం అయితే వైద్య రంగంలో పెను విప్లవం చోటు చేసుకునే అవకాశం ఉంది.
