ప్రపంచ మార్కెట్‌ చరిత్రలో ఎన్నడూ లేనంతస్థాయిలో Facebook కంపెనీ మార్కెట్‌ విలువ నిమిషాల్లో హరించుకుపోయింది. అమెరికాలో గురువారం మార్కెట్‌ ప్రారంభ క్షణాల్లోనే ఫేస్‌బుక్‌ మాతృసంస్థ మెటా ప్లాట్‌ఫామ్స్‌ షేర్లు 25 శాతం కుప్పకూలాయి. దీంతో ఈ కంపెనీ మార్కెట్‌ విలువ ఒక్కసారిగా 200 బిలియన్‌ డాలర్లకు పైగా (దాదాపు రూ. 15 లక్షల కోట్లు) పడిపోయింది. 2022 జనవరి-మార్చి క్వార్టర్లో ఆదాయ వృద్ధి తగ్గుతుందంటూ హెచ్చరించడంతో ఇన్వెస్టర్లు ఈ షేర్లను తెగనమ్మారు.

ఫలితంగా మెటా షేరు 25 శాతంపైగా పతనమై 52 వారాల కనిష్ఠస్థాయి 237 డాలర్ల వద్దకు పడిపోయింది. ఈ స్థాయి వద్ద కంపెనీ మార్కెట్‌ విలువ 688 బిలియన్‌ డాలర్లు. ఈ విలువ 880 బిలియన్‌ డాలర్ల నుంచి నిలువునా 200 బిలియన్‌ డాలర్ల మేర తగ్గిపోయింది. క్రితం రోజు ఈ షేరు 323 డాలర్ల వద్ద ముగిసింది.
