కరేబియన్ సముద్రం పనామా-కొలంబియా సరిహద్దులోని గల్ఫ్ ఆఫ్ డేరియన్ వద్ద గత రాత్రి భారీ భూకంపం సంభవించింది. రిక్టర్ స్కేలుపై దాని తీవ్రత 6.6గా నమోదైంది. రెండు దేశాల్లోనూ ప్రకంపనలు కనిపించినట్టు అమెరికా జియోలాజికల్ సర్వే (యూఎస్జీఎస్) తెలిపింది.
కరేబియన్ సముద్రం పనామా-కొలంబియా సరిహద్దులోని గల్ఫ్ ఆఫ్ డేరియన్ వద్ద గత రాత్రి భారీ భూకంపం సంభవించింది. రిక్టర్ స్కేలుపై దాని తీవ్రత 6.6గా నమోదైంది. రెండు దేశాల్లోనూ ప్రకంపనలు కనిపించినట్టు అమెరికా జియోలాజికల్ సర్వే (యూఎస్జీఎస్) తెలిపింది. ఆ తర్వాత కొన్ని క్షణాలకే 4.9 తీవ్రతతో అదే ప్రాంతంలో మరో భూకంపం సంభవించింది. రెండు భూకంపాలు భూమికి 10 కిలోమీటర్ల లోతున సంభవించినట్టు యూఎస్జీఎస్ తెలిపింది. సునామీ హెచ్చరికలు జారీ కాలేదు. భూకంపం కారణంగా సంభవించిన నష్టం గురించి ఇంకా తెలియరాలేదు. పరిస్థితిని పర్యవేక్షిస్తున్నట్టు పనామా సివిల్ ప్రొటెక్షన్ ఏజెన్సీ సినాప్రోక్ తెలిపింది.
