దేశ జనాభాను పెంచేందుకు అధ్యక్షుడు వ్లాదిమిర్ పుతిన్ (Vladimir Putin) కీలక ప్రకటన చేశారు. దేశంలోని మహిళలు (Russian Women) ఎనిమిది అంతే కంటే ఎక్కువ మంది పిల్లల్ని కనాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. రష్యా జనాభాను పెంచడమే తమ ముందున్న ప్రధాన లక్ష్యమని ఆ దేశ అధ్యక్షుడు పుతిన్ అన్నారు.

రష్యాలో గత కొన్ని ఏళ్లుగా జనాభా క్రమంగా తగ్గుతూ వస్తోంది. రష్యా జననాల రేటు 1990ల నుండి గణనీయంగా పడిపోతోంది. మరోవైపు ఉక్రెయిన్ యుద్ధంలో మరణించిన వారి సంఖ్య 3,00,000 వరకు ఉండవచ్చని నిపుణుల అంచానా. రష్యా విధానాలు నచ్చక 8,20,000-9,20,000 మంది ప్రజలు రష్యాను వీడి పారిపోయారని సమాచారం.
