ఈ ఘటనలో పలువురు మావోయిస్టులు గాయపడ్డారని సమాచారం. ఘటనా స్థలం నుంచి కొంతమంది మావోయిస్టులు తప్పించుకున్నట్లు పోలీసులు తెలపగా డీఆర్ జీ, ఎస్టీఎఫ్ బృందాలు చుట్టుపక్కల ప్రాంతాలను జల్లెడపడుతున్నాయి.
రీసెంట్గా ఒడిశా-ఛత్తీస్ గఢ్ సరిహద్దుల్లోని గరియాబంద్ జిల్లాలో భారీ ఎన్కౌంటర్(encounter) జరుగగా 20 మంది మావోయిస్టులు మృతి చెందిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఇందులో అగ్రనాయకులు కూడా ఉండటం విశేషం.
