ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రం మిజోరం అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల్లో ‘జోరం పీపుల్స్ మూవ్మెంట్ (JPM)’ పార్టీ ఘన విజయం సాధించింది. మొత్తం 40 స్థానాల్లో జేపీఎం ఏకంగా 27 స్థానాలను కైవసం చేసుకుంది.జేపీఎం అధ్యక్షుడు, కాబోయే ముఖ్యమంత్రి లల్దుహోమా ఇంటి ముందు కార్యకర్తలతో పండగ వాతావరణం నెలకొంది. లల్దుహోమా గతంలో అప్పటి ప్రధాని ఇందిరాగాంధీకి భద్రతాధికారిగా పనిచేశారు.

అధికార ‘మిజో నేషనల్ ఫ్రంట్ (MNF)’ రెండో స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. మొత్తం 40 అసెంబ్లీ స్థానాల్లో ఆ పార్టీకి 10 స్థానాలు దక్కాయి. మిగిలిన మూడు స్థానాల్లో బీజేపీకి 2, కాంగ్రెస్కు 1 దక్కాయి. నవంబర్ 7న మిజోరం అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల పోలింగ్ జరిగింది. గతంలో ఎన్నడూ లేనంతగా అక్కడ 80.66 శాతం పోలింగ్ నమోదైంది.నాలుగు పార్టీల మధ్య జరిగిన చతుర్ముఖ పోరులో మొత్తం 174 మంది అభ్యర్థులు బరిలో దిగారు. దాదాపు 4 వేల మంది ఎన్నికల సిబ్బంది విధుల్లో పాల్గొన్నారు. మిజోరాం ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలు, అధికార పార్టీ ఎంఎన్ఎఫ్కు బిగ్ షాక్, అధికార ఏర్పాటుకు కావాల్సిన మెజారిటీని సాధించిన జడ్పీఎం, ఓడిపోయిన సీఎం జోరమతంగ
